A message from John Bailey
As chairman for Didcot Town Football Club, I would like to spend a few minutes introducing you to our community club, sharing our vision and hopefully interesting you enough to allow us to meet with you to discuss how we can help promote your business to our guests at Loop Meadow Stadium through club sponsorship.
As a brief introduction, Didcot Town FC was formed in 1907 as a community club for Didcot and the surrounding area. Over the years we have developed a firm strategy to work with local talented individuals and help them develop through the club’s youth, U18, Reserves on into the First team.
The clubs first team play in the Southern League, Division One South and West league with teams like Winchester City, Wimborne Town, Taunton and Yate. The Reserve team play in the local Hellenic League, Division One with the youth teams playing in the Allied Counties against teams like Kidlington and Thame.
In recent history, the club won the FA Vase in 2005 and reached the 1st round proper in the FA Cup in 2015 against Exeter City, which was shown live on BT Sports.
To help provide community facilities to a rapidly developing and growing Didcot Town, we have been striving to develop our training pitch and surrounding land into a state of the art all weather facility to help provide much needed sport and leisure amenities for the town.
This is an exciting time for the club but still a very challenging, the club needs the support of the local community and local businesses for a sustained and successful future, so we are asking anyone to get in contact with the club if you can help us to achieve our goal of bringing facilities to the town that everyone will be proud of along with a football team playing at a good level of non league football.
On behalf of the club, may I thank you for your interest and I look forward to speaking with you at the club during the upcoming season.
